Vario Heat + Cool

Vario

Variable air outlet with motorized switching for the lower load condition. Free combination of air outlet types at the top and bottom. Motorized switching element available in 24 V and 220 V.
Application: Heating and Cooling Variation

Features

With the Oraven-VARIO system, a textile air outlet system can be used for both heating and cooling operation. The impermeable, sewn-in central panel provides an airtight seal over either the upper or lower half of the textile air outlet, allowing air to escape only through the exposed segment.

Switching between heating and cooling operation can be performed either manually using a chain hoist or automatically by means of an impulse-controlled actuator. At the beginning of the textile air outlet system, there is a longitudinally folded galvanized steel pipe with a length of 500 mm. The pipe serves as a mounting point for the C-shaped adjustment mechanism. A 180° actuator (24 / 240 V) is mounted on the outside of the pipe.

The 180° actuator moves the internal adjustment mechanism with the attached membrane either against the upper segment or the lower segment of the textile air outlet. The different positions of the adjustment mechanism seal off the segment that is not required for the respective operating mode.

Cooling Operation

In cooling operation, the cooled air flows into the room at low velocity across the entire surface of the upper segment, without creating drafts.

For cooling loads exceeding 500 W per meter of air outlet, high-induction laser perforations are additionally incorporated into the fabric surface. The laser perforations provide horizontal distribution of the cold air directly at the air outlet. The degree of induction, or mixing, can be individually adjusted. Drafts are prevented even at very high cooling loads.

No air is discharged from the lower segment in this operating mode.

Heating Operation

Directionally oriented air nozzles deliver the heated air to the occupied zone without creating drafts. The thermal heating zone can be individually defined.

The freely scalable arrangement of nozzles or nozzle arrays ensures precise compliance with throw distances and provides a high degree of flexibility in terms of induction. The proportion of entrained room air can be varied.

Diameters from 3 mm to 6 mm are produced as laser perforations. Short-tube nozzles made of polyamide 6 with diameters of 12 and 20 mm are used for longer air throw distances. The parallel guidance of the airflow within the short tube significantly increases efficiency compared with conical nozzle outlets.

No air is discharged from the upper segment in this operating mode.
